Bard vs Xerath Support Matchup

Bard Support wins 49.4% of 767 Low Elo games against Xerath Support, +0.6 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Bard

Sidestep Xerath's skillshots and punish after he spends them instead of walking straight at him; if your ADC can farm safely, leave shrines under tower and use a safe roam or tunnel gank to make pressure elsewhere.

Use Magical Journey to roam when the wave is safe rather than trying to out-poke Xerath in lane; Bard's movement lets him impact other lanes while Xerath remains tied to bot.

Xerath's long-range spells let him pressure Bard from beyond Bard's attack range, while Magical Journey gives Bard a way to leave lane and create plays elsewhere.
