Hold your E control for Ekko's dash instead of throwing EQ early; if he commits onto you, place EW at your feet to catch or root him as he arrives.

Keep the wave on your half of the lane when Ekko's all-in is available; he can run you down if you let the wave sit on his side. Ward and do not overstay alone in a side lane.

Ekko's evasive Phase Dive(E) can dodge Hwei's aimed EQ fear; a close-range EW placed under Hwei is harder for Ekko to sidestep during his entry.

How to play as Ekko

Avoid taking repeated poke, then punish when Hwei has spent his E control on the wave or misses it; without that fear available, Hwei has a much harder time stopping your trade.
