Yasuo vs Gragas Top Matchup

Yasuo Top wins 52.2% of 502 Low Elo games against Gragas Top, +0.8 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Yasuo

Use Wind Wall(W) to block Barrel Roll(Q), and save a two-stack Steel Tempest(Q) whirlwind to interrupt Body Slam(E) if Gragas tries to engage.

Wind Wall(W) blocks Gragas's thrown Barrel Roll(Q), but it cannot stop Body Slam(E), which is a charge rather than a projectile.

Steel Tempest(Q) can knock Gragas airborne when Yasuo has two stacks, giving Yasuo a way to interrupt Body Slam(E).

How to play as Gragas

Bait Wind Wall(W) before throwing Barrel Roll(Q), and avoid Body Slamming(E) into Yasuo's ready whirlwind; Yasuo players say top's longer lane gives them room to run you down after you spend E.
