Zed & Morgana Synergy

Zed Jungle and Morgana Support win 50.2% of 1,546 Low Elo games together, +1.3 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

Why this duo works

Morgana gives Zed a more reliable and protected dive: Dark Binding(Q) can hold a target for his all-in, and Black Shield(E) can protect him from the control that would stop his entry. Player discussions identify Zed among the melee divers who pair well with Morgana and describe her shield as a way to protect dives.

Playing the duo

Dark Binding(Q) can hold a priority target long enough for Zed to approach and complete his all-in, while Black Shield(E) can protect Zed from magic damage and disables during the dive.

How to play as Zed

Let Morgana start with Dark Binding(Q) when possible, then use the root window to land your combo; ask her to save Black Shield(E) for the crowd control that could stop your dive.

How to play as Morgana

Coordinate Dark Binding(Q) with Zed's gank or Death Mark(R) entry so he can commit while the target is rooted; use Black Shield(E) on him before the enemy control lands.
