Zyra & Nautilus Synergy

Zyra Jungle and Nautilus Support win 55.2% of 1,299 Low Elo games together, +1.7 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

Why this duo works

Nautilus's hook and follow-up control pin a target long enough for Zyra to land Grasping Roots and her full combo. Zyra jungle players specifically name Nautilus among their preferred engage supports because his lockdown makes her follow-up more reliable.

Playing the duo

Nautilus can lock a target down with Dredge Line(Q) and his passive root, creating an opening for Zyra's Grasping Roots(E) and follow-up damage.

How to play as Zyra

When Nautilus hooks or ults a target, follow the lockdown with Grasping Roots and your damage combo instead of using E before he can hold the target in place.

How to play as Nautilus

If Zyra is in range to follow, start the catch with Dredge Line(Q) or Depth Charge(R) so she can land Grasping Roots and her full combo on the controlled target.
