Braum Support vs Jinx ADC Matchup
Braum Support wins 48.3% of 6,196 Low Elo games against Jinx ADC, -1.0 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.
Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.
Why Jinx is favored
Jinx exploits Braum's lack of proactive engage by safely poking and shoving the wave with Fishbones(Q) from outside his Winter's Bite(Q) range. Because Braum is a reactive warden with zero innate sustain, he cannot prevent Jinx from trapping his Stand Behind Me(W) disengage with Flame Chompers!(E) and slowly choking his lane out.
Measured in High Elo: Jinx wins 2.4pp more often than expected over 2,860 games.
How to play as Braum
Hold Unbreakable(E) to reactively absorb Jinx's Super Mega Death Rocket!(R) or Zap!(W) during all-ins rather than blowing it to block minor basic attacks.
Look to leap forward with Stand Behind Me(W) to a minion to create a surprise angle for Winter's Bite(Q) when Jinx oversteps outside her minion cover.
Unbreakable(E) intercepts and destroys incoming projectiles, completely nullifying the damage of the first hit and negating Jinx's Super Mega Death Rocket!(R) or Zap!(W).
How to play as Jinx
Stand behind allied minions to avoid Winter's Bite(Q) and use Fishbones(Q) rockets to relentlessly poke Braum down; since he lacks innate sustain, he cannot withstand constant chip damage.
If tagged by Winter's Bite(Q), immediately back away and respect the Concussive Blows(P) debuff until it fades, as enemy follow-up auto-attacks will trigger the 4-stack stun.
Flame Chompers!(E) are ground-placed snare traps that cannot be blocked by Unbreakable(E); placing them around an allied or enemy minion roots Braum immediately upon landing from Stand Behind Me(W).
Winter's Bite(Q) cannot pass through minions, while Fishbones(Q) splash damage easily hits Braum and his marksman behind the minion wave from 600+ range.
