Darius vs Gangplank Top Matchup

Darius Top wins 46.5% of 2,750 Low Elo games against Gangplank Top, -1.5 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Darius

Do not walk into a prepared barrel chain; if Gangplank has just spent a barrel and is close enough, use Apprehend(E) to break it and look for a run-down while its cooldown is long.

Stay healthy and use lane bushes to limit free Parrrley(Q) poke; look for a full-health all-in when Gangplank walks too far forward or your jungler can approach through the unwarded side.

Powder Keg(E) slows and threatens Darius from outside his comfortable range, while repeated Parrrley(Q) poke can weaken him before Gangplank risks an all-in.
