Gwen can sidestep the slow skillshots Mordekaiser needs to establish an extended trade, then punish with true damage from Snip Snip! (Q) and her health-scaling passive. Hallowed Mist (W) can also deny Realm of Death (R) when Mordekaiser casts from outside the mist.

How to play as Gwen

Keep Skip 'n Slash (E) to dodge Obliterate (Q) or Death's Grasp (E), then use short trades with the center of Snip Snip! (Q) and back off if Darkness Rise (P) activates. If Mordekaiser starts Realm of Death (R) from outside your mist, cast Hallowed Mist (W) during the cast.

Skip 'n Slash (E) can dodge Mordekaiser's slow Obliterate (Q) or Death's Grasp (E), denying the hits he needs to start Darkness Rise (P).

If Mordekaiser casts Realm of Death (R) from outside Hallowed Mist (W), Gwen can time the mist to become untargetable and deny the cast; this does not protect her if he is already inside the mist.
