Jayce vs Ornn Top Matchup

Jayce Top wins 43.6% of 884 Low Elo games against Ornn Top, -0.9 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Jayce

Save Hammer E for Ornn's incoming ultimate and use it as he moves in to recast; the knockback can make the redirected ram miss its knockup.

Keep your distance from Ornn's Q pillar and nearby terrain, and sidestep his E rather than letting him use the terrain collision to knock you up.

Ornn's Call of the Forge God needs his recast to redirect the elemental for its knockup, while Jayce's Hammer E can knock Ornn back and disrupt that timing.

How to play as Ornn

Bait out Jayce's Hammer E before committing to the second cast of your ultimate, and look for E knockups when Jayce is near your Q pillar or other terrain.
