Why this duo works

Yuumi's shield and attached Q let Lucian trigger and benefit from his passive bonus attacks while she stays attached through his dashes. Her movement speed, attack speed and slow also help him keep up his short trades and stick to targets.

Measured in High Elo: this duo wins 3.4pp more often than expected over 3,518 games.

Playing the duo

When Yuumi shields Lucian with Zoomies(E), Lucian's Lightslinger(P) grants bonus magic damage to his next two basic attacks; that turns her shield into extra damage during his follow-up.

While attached to her Best Friend, Yuumi's Prowling Projectile(Q) adds on-hit damage and an enhanced slow, while Zoomies(E) passes its movement and attack speed to Lucian.

How to play as Lucian

Trade when Yuumi can shield you or land an attached Q, then weave basic attacks after your abilities to use Lightslinger(P)'s bonus damage and stay on the target with her speed boost.

How to play as Yuumi

Attach to Lucian when he is ready to trade, shield him with E as he commits, and aim Q to slow his target; the shield activates his passive damage and the slow helps his short-range follow-up.
