Nautilus vs Zilean Support Matchup

Nautilus Support wins 48.0% of 1,697 Low Elo games against Zilean Support, +0.2 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Nautilus

Threaten Zilean with Dredge Line(Q) from beyond his Time Bomb(Q) range and use Titan's Wrath(W) to absorb his poke.

Dredge Line(Q) reaches farther than Time Bomb(Q), so Nautilus can threaten a hook from outside Zilean's bomb range.

Titan's Wrath(W) gives Nautilus a shield that can blunt Zilean's early bomb poke.

How to play as Zilean

At level 1, harass with basic attacks from behind minions. After that, keep minions between you and Nautilus while Dredge Line(Q) is available, and look for a trade if he misses it.
