Nautilus Support vs Jinx ADC Matchup

Nautilus Support wins 46.5% of 15,848 Low Elo games against Jinx ADC, -0.7 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Nautilus

After reaching level 6, lead your engage with Depth Charge(R) to knock Jinx airborne first, giving you a guaranteed window to walk up and land Dredge Line(Q) and Staggering Blow(P).

Avoid throwing hooks into large incoming minion waves; minion aggro early deals heavy damage, and getting caught in a wave allows Jinx to slow you with Zap!(W) and kite you out.

Depth Charge(R) is an unavoidable point-and-click knockup against champions without blinks; Cleanse cannot remove airborne displacements, guaranteeing lockdown on immobile Jinx.

How to play as Jinx

Maintain a diagonal position behind allied minions to deny Nautilus open angles for Dredge Line(Q); once he misses a hook, immediately step up to harass him during his 14-second early cooldown.

If Nautilus hooks your support, do not panic-drop Flame Chompers!(E) on Nautilus; throw them directly in front of the enemy ADC to cut off their follow-up damage and neutralize the engage.

Dredge Line(Q) pulls both Nautilus and his target together toward a midpoint, meaning hooking near Jinx's tower or into a large friendly minion wave pulls Nautilus directly into heavy counter-damage.

Fishbones(Q) grants Jinx at least 600 attack range, enabling her to pelt Nautilus safely from outside the 600 radius of Riptide(E) and his 175 melee attack range.
