Tahm Kench vs Gangplank Top Matchup

Tahm Kench Top wins 54.2% of 965 Low Elo games against Gangplank Top, +2.2 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Tahm Kench

Build An Acquired Taste stacks with Q and attacks, but wait until Gangplank uses Remove Scurvy before committing Devour; otherwise he can cleanse the suppression and escape.

Use Tongue Lash to keep pressure on him and look for the all-in when his orange is unavailable; his cleanse is the main reason to hold your ultimate.

Gangplank W removes crowd control, so it can end Tahm R's enemy Devour if Gangplank still has Remove Scurvy available.
