How to play as Veigar
Stand behind minions to deny Death Sentence(Q) a clear hook; a Veigar support matchup guide specifically recommends using minions to block it.
When Thresh closes to make a play, use Event Horizon(E) on him or his ADC, then disengage rather than taking the full engage.
Thresh's Death Sentence(Q) threatens to start an engage, but Veigar can punish him with Event Horizon(E) when he gets close.
