If Zac starts channeling Elastic Slingshot(E) while you are already in Thundering Smash(Q) reach, stun him before he releases to cancel the charge and prevent the knock-up.

Pressure Zac early with a three-camp gank or invade when your lanes can move, then turn the pressure into objectives. Don't spend extra time chasing him for bloblets if his team can collapse.

Elastic Slingshot(E)'s charge is interrupted by immobilizing effects, and Thundering Smash(Q) stuns. If Volibear reaches Zac before he releases E, Q can stop the launch.
