Why this duo works
Ahri E gives Xin Zhao a clear gank setup, and Xin Zhao E can close the distance before his Q knockup keeps the target in place for Ahri's follow-up. Ahri's R also helps her join Xin Zhao's river fights and move with him on roams.
Playing the duo
Ahri E charms and stops the target's movement, while Xin Zhao E is a targeted dash and Xin Zhao Q knocks the target airborne on its third attack. Ahri R gives her repeated dashes to follow a gank or skirmish.
How to play as Xin Zhao
Look for ganks when Ahri can land Charm (Ahri E); dash in with Xin Zhao E and follow with Q's third-hit knockup to extend the control window. Ahri can then add damage or follow a flash with R.
How to play as Ahri
When Xin Zhao is near mid, save Ahri E until he can follow the charm with Xin Zhao E and Q. Use Ahri R to join his river skirmishes or continue a gank after the target flashes.
