Why Gwen is favored

Gwen's repeated Needlework casts and champion-hit healing make a straight all-in dangerous for Yorick. Current Yorick players describe chipping her with E, Walkers and Maiden instead, then using W to disengage when she commits her ultimate, which fits Gwen's +2.4pp edge in Low Elo.

How to play as Yorick

Chip Gwen with Mourning Mist(E) while Walkers and Maiden are active instead of forcing a close all-in into her Needlework(R) and healing. If she commits R, use Dark Procession(W) to disengage until the remaining casts are gone.

Patch 25.07 removed Mist Walkers' automatic one-hit death to champion attacks and single-target damage; Gwen's Snip Snip(Q) can still hit multiple Walkers with its cone, but does not use the old instant-kill rule.

Gwen's Needlework(R) can be cast repeatedly and A Thousand Cuts(P) heals her when it damages champions; Yorick can use Dark Procession(W) to block her path while retreating from that all-in.

How to play as Gwen

Use Needlework(R) to threaten an all-in, but do not spend every cast chasing Yorick through Dark Procession(W); he can cage you and retreat until the sequence ends. Keep pressure on him when his cage is unavailable rather than trading into his full Maiden-and-Walker setup.
