Kayn vs Briar Jungle Matchup

Kayn Jungle wins 47.7% of 5,628 Low Elo games against Briar Jungle, -0.1 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Kayn

When Briar starts Blood Frenzy(W), time Blade's Reach(W) against her Head Rush(Q) to deny the stun; then use Reaping Slash(Q) to leave her E knockback or keep fighting.

Hold Umbral Trespass(R) so you can dodge Briar's wall knockup from Chilling Scream(E) or wait out some of her frenzy; do not spend it before she commits.

A well-timed Blade's Reach(W) can stop Briar's Head Rush(Q) before it stuns Kayn, helping him avoid the follow-up from Blood Frenzy(W).

How to play as Briar

If Kayn still has Umbral Trespass(R), save Chilling Scream(E) until he commits it; he can use R to dodge the wall knockup.
