Kayn vs Shaco Jungle Matchup

Kayn Jungle wins 51.5% of 5,845 Low Elo games against Shaco Jungle, +0.7 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Kayn

Ward likely jungle entrances with a control ward and track Shaco; avoid meeting him in an isolated early duel until you have form or a lead.

Take camps on the opposite side and punish Shaco's frequent ganks with counterganks or cross-map camps; he can leave camps open while roaming.

Shaco can use Deceive(Q) to appear from stealth and Jack In The Box(W) can fear Kayn at a jungle entrance, making blind early routes dangerous.

Use your early strength to invade or gank before Kayn gets form instead of letting him farm safely.
