Riven vs Shen Top Matchup

Riven Top wins 49.3% of 552 Low Elo games against Shen Top, +1.3 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Riven

Wait out Shen's W before relying on passive-enhanced basic attacks; use your other abilities to pressure him while the block is active.

If Shen starts Stand United within reach, use W or Q3 to interrupt the channel before he leaves.

When Shen leaves lane with his ultimate, push and crash the wave so you can take farm or move first.

Spirit's Refuge(W) blocks basic attacks in its area, including Riven's passive-enhanced attacks.
