Why Yasuo is favored

Yasuo counters Sylas because he completely dominates extended melee trades with continuous Steel Tempest and basic attacks once Sylas exhausts his ability cooldowns, while Wind Wall blocks Sylas's primary gap-closer and crowd control.

How to play as Yasuo

Commit to extended trades when Sylas engages: Sylas relies on high-burst cooldowns and cannot sustain DPS, so stick to him with basic attacks and Steel Tempest once his abilities are spent.

Hold Wind Wall specifically to block Sylas's Abduct (E2) chains: blocking his chain denies his only hard crowd control and leaves him stranded without an escape.

Apply Ignite early in all-ins before Sylas reaches low health to cut down the massive clutch healing from Kingslayer.

Wind Wall intercepts and blocks the chain projectile of Sylas's Abduct (E2), preventing Sylas from pulling himself to Yasuo or applying his stun.
