Gragas vs Irelia Top Matchup

Gragas Top wins 47.6% of 498 Low Elo games against Irelia Top, -0.5 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Gragas

At level 1, avoid letting Irelia stack her passive on the wave and reach you with full stacks; starting with Body Slam (E) gives you a way to disengage from her early dash-in.

When Irelia lands E and marks you, expect her Q to reset and allow another dash; do not treat her first dash as the end of the engage.

Irelia's Flawless Duet (E) marks its target and her Vanguard's Edge (R) also marks champions hit; those marks let Bladesurge (Q) reset when she dashes to Gragas.
