Gragas vs Tryndamere Top Matchup

Gragas Top wins 51.2% of 645 Low Elo games against Tryndamere Top, +1.5 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Gragas

Keep Body Slam (E) available to match Tryndamere's Spinning Slash (E), so he cannot stay on top of you after dashing in. Use Barrel Roll (Q) to poke and wait out Undying Rage (R) before trying to finish him.

In mid and late game, peel Tryndamere away from your carries with E and avoid spending your full combo while his R is active.

Tryndamere's Undying Rage (R) prevents him from dying for its duration, while Gragas's Body Slam (E) and Barrel Roll (Q) can stun and slow him to delay his pursuit without finishing him.
