Gragas vs Renekton Top Matchup

Gragas Top wins 47.8% of 671 Low Elo games against Renekton Top, -0.0 points vs expected, 2-patch window 26.19-26.20.

Researched on LoL patch 26.20. Tips are written to hold at any rank; stats come from Low Elo ranked games up to patch 26.20.

How to play as Gragas

Use Body Slam (E) to disengage when Renekton dashes in, then match his wave pressure and farm instead of forcing a trade. Keep Drunken Rage (W) ready when he has enough Fury for empowered W.

Respect Renekton's Cull the Meek (Q) range around the wave so he cannot hit you and nearby units together for extra healing. When he plays passively, use your own Q to poke rather than forcing an all-in.

Renekton's empowered Ruthless Predator (W) stuns for longer and deals a burst of damage; Gragas's Drunken Rage (W) reduces incoming damage, so timing it around Renekton's empowered W can blunt the trade.
